KL Orthosport Sdn Bhd proudly signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Celler Therapeutics Sdn Bhd on 24 April 2025, marking a major milestone in regenerative medicine. Held at the Chancellor Tuanku Ja’afar Medical Education Complex Auditorium, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM), the event also witnessed the launch of the Malaysian Stem Cell Awareness Network, aimed at promoting public understanding and the clinical potential of stem cell therapies.
The prestigious event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Mohamad Abd Razak, Chairman of UKM’s Board of Directors; Professor Dato’ Dr. Hanafiah Harunarashid, Pro Vice-Chancellor of UKM Kuala Lumpur Campus; Professor Datin Dr. Marina Mat Baki, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Dato’ Dr. Azmi Baharudin, Director of Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz; Dato’ Seri Farid Ridzuan, Advisor to KL Orthosport; Dato’ Dr. Badrul Akmal Hisham Md. Yusoff, Executive Director of KL Orthosport; and Shasha Nordin, Director of Celler Therapeutics.
The highlight of the event included a video montage titled “The Second Chance”, symbolizing renewed hope for osteoarthritis patients through cutting-edge stem cell treatment. The event concluded with a media session featuring testimonies from patients, including En. Khairul Ikram, a former athlete who successfully regained mobility after undergoing stem cell therapy.
This collaboration underscores KL Orthosports’ ongoing commitment to advancing orthopaedic care through innovative regenerative solutions and public engagement.
